2010 NBBSA Softball Senior League Schedule Objective The NBBSA Major Softball League is a competitive league. Teams are assigned through a pre-season league wide coaches draft. The fundamentals of the windmill pitching mechanics are emphasized in this league where players pitch only. Players are expected to demonstrate the proper mechanics of the overhand throw, fielding ground balls and fly balls, pitching, catching, base running, stealing, hitting, bunting and sliding. Records are maintained and playoffs are scheduled. Players in this league will have the opportunity to try-out for tournament teams at the 12U age level. Players should be preparing to play at a middle school level.
